Love SOWEGA
Love SOWEGA is a week of outreach for our church with 2 simple rules. #1, each project has to be off of our church property, and #2, each project has to be an attempt to love people outside of our church and to share the love of Jesus with them. We think each of our projects do that. This is new to our church this year, but it is our desire that this sparks a movement in our church to live not just a week on mission, but a life on mission. We would love to have you join us for our projects. Let us know below if you can participate.
Events
Monday April 22
Law Enforcement Treats @ 9:30am
We'll be baking cakes, cookies, brownies, etc and delivering them to our local law enforcement
Tuesday April 23
Prayer Groups @ 10am & 6:30pm
The sanctuary will be open all week for prayer, but specifically during these times we will be having special prayer gatherings to pray for our event and our community.
Wednesday April 24
Turner Job Corp Donations @ 10am and Prayer/Sending Service @ 6:30pm
That morning we will take items we have collected toTurner Job Core and that evening we will be having a service to "commission" and pray for us as we do our outreach the rest of the week.
Thursday April 25
Morning Project 9am and Community Center Outreach 3pm
. The morning project is still TBD. That afternoon we will take treats to a local after school programs, love on kids, and help them with homework
Friday April 26
Dougherty High School Project 9am and Nursing Home Outreach 2:30pm
That morning we will be helping a local club plant flowers near their school's sign and that afternoon we will be loving on folks at a local nursing home.
Saturday April 27
Foster Family Fun Day @ 10am-2pm
We will be holding an event to love on and show our support to kids and families in our local foster system.
